If you spend any time following #londoncoffeeshops at all, you will be no stranger to Ask for Janice, and that social-media-famous light brown sofa. The bare concrete, sparse white paint on the walls, hand-drawn contemporary art and hanging plants all give it an eclectic but welcoming atmosphere. Food served on enamel plates or in little preservation jars adds extra brownie points for being on-trend.

On top of its aesthetics, Ask for Janice is also an extremely friendly place. By observing its staff, it almost feels like a family-like community. This cafe is also a restaurant and bar that serves simple, fresh food and prides itself in local Gins, with more than 50 gins on offer. Saturdays at Ask for Janice are for bottomless brunch, fill up on Bloody Mary, Bucks Fizz and Salty Dogs.
