With an elegant door front like this and its name spelt out in tiles before you step in. The entrance of Frenchie is making a great impression already. Inside, the elegance and Parisian Chic continues, but in a more modern and relaxed industrial vibe, helped by its distressed-zinc-top tables and painted-but-exposed pipeworks in the ceiling. The atmosphere is lively, even early on in the evening. As this being grand central of West End musicals and steps away from the Royal Opera House, pre-theatre folks dominate the 5:30pm and 6pm bookings.

The Parisian NDA of the chef-founder Greg Marchand, nicknamed as "Frenchie" by Jamie Oliver himself, is delicately weaved in the beautifully presented dishes and cocktails. And most importantly, the taste? Absolutely phenomenal. Each dish is full of flavour from the dozen of ingredients used, but all skilled pulled together into an impeccably composed small plate.

Set menu served at lunch and pre-theatre 5:30pm and 6pm, 3 courses at £30. The 5-course tasting menu is £55.
