I have been to many cafes across many different cities. Pollen Baked Goods has a special place in my heart not only because it is located in Bangkok, my hometown. But also that this place really makes me feel genuinely welcomed everytime I visit, giving me a warm and fussy feeling like being greeted by family. The nostalgic feeling comes from its location, being surrounded by colonial buildings in the midst of Bangkok's Old Town, as well as its retro interior.

When I first stepped in this little bakery cafe, it was the buttery aroma of its freshly baked pastries that first made its impression. A wide range of homemade pastries displayed on metal trays, making it easy to pick your favourite ones. Think cardamom-tinged madeleines, chocolate buns, cinnamon rolls, on top of that there is also an impressive selection of drinks like ice-cold chocolate or slow-drop coffee. Spoilt for choice? Ask the cafe crew, everyone here is really nice, always offering suggestions of drinks and pastry pairing. The ever-changing menu keeps me going back there frequently and trying another recipe.

Doughnuts THB 20-30, cinnamon roll THB 65, homemade lemonade THB 50.
