Located a little out of the way from central London, I am reluctant to call this a neighbourhood restaurant. Doing so may suggest people come here purely for convenience, for a quick bite to eat because one forgot to buy grocery to last the week. That is far from what Trullo is. At its core, this is a simple yet classy restaurant with a laid-back approach. Offering seasonally focused, Italian inspired menu that changes daily. Fresh hand-made pasta and its charcoal grill are the stars of the kitchen, made minutes before service. The space is lovely too, while upstairs is more of a classic Italian trattoria, downstairs is more glamorous industrial. Did I mention the friendliness of the restaurant? Not only do they take notes of its customers' seating preferences, which is rare for a popular restaurant in London. No one will rush you to finish that lemon tart because your 1.5hr reservation window is up. You can take your time here, indulge in the food, wine and good company.

I had taken a 40mins taxi to get here, was it worth it? Yes, every minute every bite.

Pasta from £7.50, grill dishes from £18.
